Types of Conceal Carry Clothing

You probably think of the typical shoulder or waistband holster when you think of concealed carry. These are not your only option. Many companies are now focusing their attention away from holsters and more on holsters concealed in clothing. Innovative companies have come up with some pretty sneaky ways to help you conceal your firearms.

Leggings

Concealment leggings are one of the newest forms of concealed carry clothing. These look and feel like regular leggings, but they have a built-in holster for those who wish to carry a firearm. Although it is far easier to find women’s leggings, these leggings come in both men’s and women’s styles.

Jeggings

Jeggings are the popular combination of jeans and leggings or leggings that look like jeans. You find most jeggings for women, and concealed carry jeggings follow this pattern. These come in a variety of sizes and shapes.

Shirts

Conceal carry shirts are one of the most popular types of holster clothing. You can find almost any tight-fitting style, including:

• T-shirts
• Undershirts
• Tank tops
• Workout tops
• Crew neck shirts
• Scoop neck shirts

Most shirts have a shoulder holster built-in, but some styles may allow you to carry in other positions.

Pants

Unlike leggings, these are looser and more like regular pants. Many are exactly like standard dress pants or jeans but with a concealed carry pocket or strap. They work well for people who want to carry their gun at their back or in an appendix carry. 

Vests

Vests are another popular form of concealed carry clothing. The idea of a tactile vest is appealing to many sportsmen and women because it does not look much different than any other sporting vest. They ordinarily have pockets for extra ammunition and accessories. Usually, the gun fits into a strap or pocket either at the shoulder or waist. 

Some vests have this pocket or strap on the outside for easier access. In this case, the vest will need to be worn under a jacket.

Underclothing

Tight-fitting boxer briefs come in both men’s and women’s styles. These usually have specifically designed bands for either back or appendix carry. They fit under most pants or jeans, making your firearm undetectable. 

There is also a line of concealed carry bras for women. These are designed to fit a small firearm.

No matter how you decide to carry, concealed carry clothing is normally comfortable and durable. Although most of it leans towards practical, some are even fashionable.
